‘The Burn Centre leadership team is incredibly excited to announce Lindsay Burnett has accepted the new Nurse Practitioner role for the Burn Centre.
Lindsay is passionate about providing the highest standards of care for patients who sustain a burn injury.
Her compassionate approach, strong work ethic, and burn expertise will be a great asset to the Burn team and patients.
Her expertise in burns is comprehensive and includes many quality improvement initiatives such as: the development of the Calgary Burn Pain Pathway and Co-Chair of the FMC Burn Quality Committee.
In addition, Lindsay supports the long-term journey of burn patients as a coordinator for the Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery peer support program. Her burn leadership is recognized across Canada and the USA with current and past roles with the Canadian Burn Associations and the American Burn Association.
Lindsay has numerous publications and won an award from the American Burn Association for top 5 abstracts.
The Burn Centre NP will provide burn care to both inpatient and outpatient burn patients. This includes collaboration on consultations with the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Inpatient units. Lindsay will support Outpatient Burn Clinic Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, and the coordination of referrals.
