Recently, members of the Calgary burn community traveled to Victoria, BC for the Canadian Burn Survivors Community Conference — a powerful gathering of burn survivors, their families, medical staff, and firefighters from across the country.

The Calgary delegation included survivors, their incredible support networks, members of the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Centre, and firefighters from the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (CFBTS).

Together, they spent the weekend sharing stories, gaining new insights, and building meaningful connections with others in the national burn community. Events like this help remind us: recovery is not just physical — it’s emotional, social, and deeply human.
