A Salute to 30 Years of Service: HMCS CALGARY

This year, we proudly celebrate the 30-year legacy of HMCS Calgary, a namesake vessel that has embodied excellence, bravery, and unwavering service to Canada since her commissioning in 1995.

Recently, two of our directors, Todd and Brad, had the incredible honor of being welcomed aboard for a tour and to join the 30th anniversary celebration.

We presented the crew with gift to thank them for their warm hospitality and continued support. It’s moments like these that remind us how deep the bond runs between the fire service and the Navy.

From international peacekeeping missions to maritime security operations around the globe, the crew of HMCS Calgary has stood tall as a symbol of dedication and resilience. Their accomplishments over the past three decades are nothing short of remarkable—and their continued service inspires us all.

And their service extends beyond the water…We’re especially grateful that our charity is their charity of choice. From: Crew Head Shaves, to Stampede Hoedowns, to street hockey tournaments, the partnership between HMCS Calgary and the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society has become a valued tradition—rooted in mutual respect, compassion, and a shared mission to serve and protect.

As we reflect on this proud milestone, we also look forward to future collaborations—united in service, community, and care.

To the crew of HMCS Calgary: we salute you. Here’s to 30 years of duty and many more ahead!
